Dan Thomas Officially Assumes Role as Group CEO of Isio
Press Releases
1 September 2026: Isio, one of the UK’s fastest-growing pensions, wealth and employee benefits firms, today announces that Dan Thomas has officially stepped into his role as CEO. Dan joins Isio as the business enters its next phase of growth, following six years in which it has established a strong position across pensions and investment and expanded its capabilities in wealth, employee benefits and technology-enabled solutions.
Isio has grown to nearly 1,500 people across 10 UK offices and delivered sustained double-digit revenue growth since its launch in 2020. The business expects to report revenue well in excess of £200m for the current financial year, building on a five-year revenue CAGR of 21%. As CEO, Dan will lead the development of Isio’s next long-term growth strategy, with a focus on strengthening the firm’s existing market positions while accelerating growth across adjacent areas.
A key priority is building a more diversified business by uniting Isio’s pensions, wealth, and employee benefits capabilities around evolving client needs. Isio plans to drive this expansion through organic growth, complemented by targeted investments and selective acquisitions that add distinct capabilities in high-value markets.
Technology, AI and data will also play an increasingly important role in Isio’s future development. Dan sees an opportunity not only to use technology to improve productivity, but to connect Isio’s expertise and data more effectively, generate deeper insight and develop new ways of delivering advice and solutions to clients.
Recent investments, including the acquisition of AI-driven fintech Collidr and Trafalgar House Pensions Administration, form part of Isio’s continued investment in expanding its capabilities and building a broader advisory platform.
Dan Thomas, Group Chief Executive Officer of Isio, commented:
“I am incredibly excited to officially start as CEO of Isio. What drew me to Isio was the strength of the platform that has been built, combined with brilliant people and a huge market opportunity. Over the past few months, I have had the chance to immerse myself in that opportunity by spending time with our teams, clients and partners.
“Isio has grown rapidly over the past six years, but there is significantly more we can do. We have a very strong position in pensions, which will remain fundamental to the business, alongside exciting opportunities to accelerate our growth in wealth, investment advisory, employee benefits and other adjacent markets.
“My ambition is to build a larger, more diversified and increasingly technology-enabled Isio. AI and data will be an important part of that, helping us unlock deeper insight, improve how we work and develop new ways to solve client problems.
“Alongside continued organic growth, we will invest in new capabilities and be prepared to acquire where that strengthens what we can offer clients. My immediate priority is to listen and learn across our 10 offices as we build towards our long-term goals together.”
Chris Woodhouse, Chairman of Isio, added:
“Dan is an outstanding appointment as CEO to lead Isio. He combines deep professional services experience with strong commercial instincts, significant private equity exposure, and a modern perspective on how technology and AI will reshape advisory businesses over the coming decade.
“Dan joins at an important point in the firm’s development. We have built a business with significant scale and strong positions across our markets. The opportunity now is to build on that platform with even greater ambition. We warmly welcome Dan as he leads the firm into its next chapter.”
