Everyone taking part in an Early Careers programme at Isio will be supported in their professional and personal development. This includes working within teams delivering work for clients. Alongside this there are regular internal training and development opportunities combining group activity, self-guided learning. There is also significant practical and financial support provided for achieving external professional qualifications and accreditations.

Actuarial & Consulting
Actuarial & Consulting sits at the heart of our advice offering, and how we help our clients achieve greater success. As part of these programmes, you’ll be supported and given study leave to become a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFOA).


Investment Advisory

We provide bespoke investment advice to defined benefit pensions schemes, defined contribution pension schemes, defined contribution master trusts, endowment funds, charities and high-net-worth individuals. If the right investment solution doesn’t exist, we will work with investment managers to create a new fund or mandate that is right. You will be supported in working to qualifications with the IFoA or as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Digital Solutions

Isio’s Digital team work with colleagues in all of our client facing service-lines in designing digital solutions that are innovative, market leading and deliver better solutions for our clients and their pension scheme members. The Digital team work with Data, AI and technology to support our clients with market leading approaches to managing their pensions schemes and employee benefits.

Applying for Early Careers roles at Isio

Choose whichever of our 2025 Early Careers roles is the ideal mix for you of;

  • Role or discipline you are most motivated in which to start your career.
  • Specific programme matching where you are in your academic journey:
    • Graduate – you will need to have completed your university study and be available for full time employment from September 2025
    • Industrial Placement –a 12 month full-time placement from 2025-26, before returning for your final year of university study for 2026-27
    • Summer Placement – 6 week internship in Summer 2025, before returning for your final year of university study for 2025-26
    • Apprentice – you will have finished A Levels or equivalent by September 2025
  • Location – apply to the location where you are looking to be based in for permanent employment when you complete your academic studies.

Each of the 2025 Early Careers roles at Isio has a different application deadline. For our most popular roles, we anticipate closing for applications from mid-November 2024. However we recommend you apply as early as possible to maximise your chances of success. We will be looking to progress applications as quickly as possible.

Stage 1 – Online application form

The application form will ask about your:

  • Key contact information
  • Academic qualifications
  • CV or resumé
  • Motivation to work for Isio and the role you’ve applied for
  • Interests and aspirations

 

We encourage you to include as much information about the academic qualifications you have.

Stage 2 – Online numerical reasoning test

After you submit your application you will receive an invitation stage, we’ll invite you to complete an online numerical reasoning test. This is a key skill needed across all roles at Isio, so it’s important we make sure you’re comfortable interpreting data and statistics.

Please make sure you have a good internet connection and are in a place where you can fully concentrate on the test.

Stage 3 – Online critical reasoning test (for Graduates and Industrial Placements only)

We’ll send this invitation across if your online numerical reasoning test score is positive. Here, we’ll be seeing how you think critically, using logic to draw conclusions and make objective decisions.

Stage 4 – In-person interview

The final stage will be to meet with colleagues at one of our offices for an interview.

During this time, we’ll also arrange a separate meeting to introduce you to one of our recent Early Careers recruits. They’ll be working in the role you’ve applied for, and can give you their first-hand experience and answer any questions you may have.

If you use public transport to get to your interview, we’ll support you with the cost of this.

Everyone taking part in an Early Careers programme will be supported in their professional and personal development, including being supported by a personal mentor.

We also support our clients across a range of key services. This breadth offers you the chance to explore roles and gain experience in a variety of areas.
