Hi, I’m Scott. I’ve helped employers and trustees look after their DB schemes for over 25 years. My main job is helping employers to plan, implement and communicate change.

I started my career advising trustees of DB pension schemes and spent a considerable amount of time advising organisations on pensions rectification programmes. Beyond traditional corporate pensions advice, I’ve focused on advising organisations on change. I’ve helped over 40 organisations on change exercises, and I’ve gained experience across public and private sector organisations, including negotiating with regulators and governmental departments.

My skills and experience include:

Innovative design – I embrace new technologies, take a keen interest in understanding evolving employee needs and use my years of experience to help work out what the right strategy is for your organisation.

Decision making – Making the decision to change can be difficult, especially with multiple stakeholders and a multitude of options. I have extensive experience of coaching and advising to navigate through these challenges.

Engaging stakeholders – Competing interests will make it difficult to push through your change programme, and I have developed approaches to plot a route through, and gain key stakeholder buy-in.

Industrial relations expertise – Unions are often key to unlocking change in many situations. I’ve worked collaboratively with most UK trade unions to develop IR strategies that seek to reach workable conclusions.

Employee engagement and communications – So much communication is mired in jargon. I’ve led more than 25 large communications campaigns over the last 15 years with some of the highest profile UK organisations. I’ve constantly sought to innovate in this important area, bringing in digital tools and data analytics to raise the bar in employee engagement.
