Challenger brand confirms status as one of the fastest growing pensions, wealth and investment advisory businesses in the UK.

21 February 2024: Isio has today announced impressive results for the year to 30 September 2023. On an annualised basis, group revenue exceeded £155m1.  On a reported basis, which only includes four months of revenue from our newly acquired business, Isio Total Rewards and Benefits Limited, group revenue was £135.3m.

Highlights include:

  • Annualised revenue of over £155m and EBITDA of circa £39m
  • Reported revenue growth of 33% from £101.5m to £135.3m
  • Reported EBITDA growth of 27% from £27.0m to £34.4m
  • Strong organic revenue growth of 18% across our core business including Actuarial and Consulting, Pensions Administration and Investment Advisory, and continued development of Reward and Benefits and Wealth Advisory business lines.

The results show that three and a half years after launch, the Isio business had more than doubled revenue, profit and headcount.  An industry challenger, Isio continues to work closely with clients to deliver greater financial confidence through diverse expertise, innovation and solutions. Recognised by the industry for its high-quality client work, Isio was named Administration Provider of the Year at the Pensions Age Awards and Investment Consultancy of the Year at the UK Pensions Awards.

Isio has also continued to invest in its people, promoting five new partners during the calendar year alongside gaining seven new partners and bringing in nearly 200 new joiners to the business from the acquisition of Isio Total Reward & Benefits from Deloitte LLP.  In addition, Isio welcomed over 180 new experienced hires, 70 graduates, apprentices and trainees as they invest for the future. Isio now employs 1,100 people across 10 UK offices, including a new location in Belfast.

Andrew Coles, Chief Executive of Isio, commented: “Four years into our journey, we are perfectly placed to continue to capitalise on the scale, expertise and culture that we have built here at Isio. This is translating into clients and talented people approaching us as a fast growth challenger business they want to work with or for. We are excited about our future and our strategy is to continue to build a market leading pension and benefits, investment and wealth planning consulting firm, known for thinking differently.  These strong results are testament to the faith our clients place in us and the commitment and care of our now 1,100 members of the Isio team.”

1Isio Group Ltd is the main trading entity for the Isio group and reported revenue of £122.4m for the year ended 30 September 2023. Additional revenues from Isio Services Ltd and Isio Total Reward & Benefits Ltd (ITRB), for the 4 months from acquisition on 26 May 2023, bring the consolidated group total revenue to £135.3m. Had ITRB been consolidated for a full year annualised group revenue would have been £155m.
