Alongside my 500 colleagues, I joined Isio since its inception. I had over 20 years with KPMG in the pensions advisory team, having qualified as an actuary many decades ago. I have KPMG to thank for the knowledge I gained within their Public Services team. Advising employers in the education, social housing and charities sectors, I am also the Education lead within Isio’s Public Services team.

I am an advocate of pensions being looked at through the lenses of ‘people’, ‘finance’ and ‘governance’ – this balance is important and better communication will improve people’s appreciation of these very valuable benefits.

I know ‘pensions’ are complicated – often in the ‘too difficult bucket’ – and I love it when people see through the hard bits and make informed decisions with confidence. Being inquisitive and finding solutions comes as part of my actuarial training. Whether this is pension strategy, funding, communications, de-risking, transactions, or in the design and operation of defined contribution schemes – my objective is for my clients, and their employees, to get the most benefit from the valuable pensions being provided.
