Panel Discussion: Pensions and positive action during an unprecedented era

We would be delighted if you would join us for a one hour panel discussion on Wednesday 15 July at 10am to explore what pension trustees and sponsors can do in the face of a potentially long and bumpy road to recovery for many UK companies.
Most organisations are impacted by the current crisis and this has consequences for their pension funds. Some sectors are already severely knocked and relying on recovery in the broader economy. Others are coping in the short-term but may face deeper challenges as government (and lender) support soon begins to unwind. This extended period of doubt could lead to greater tensions between sponsors, trustees and other stakeholders in the coming months. How do you balance recovery of the sponsor with protection of pensions?
Our guest panellists will be:
- Helen Beckinsale, Panel Manager at the Pension Protection Fund
- Alan Stewart, Chief Financial Officer at Tesco plc
- Fraser Smart, Chief Executive Officer at British Airways Pensions
- Dave Clarke, Head of Covenant Advisory at KPMG
Our panellists will share their experiences and views particularly around sponsor contributions, security and balancing stakeholder needs. They will then be delighted to take questions from our audience.
We do hope you will join us for this one hour event.
